Girls Engineer it! Day Expo
To Local Outreach Enthusiast:
The STEM activities and Expo are aimed at exposing 300 middle and high school students to the opportunities available in engineering professions. Along with getting students excited about engineering through hands-on activities, we also offer informational sessions for their parents concerning college choices and continuing their STEM learning. The event will be held at Woodville Tompkins Technical and Career High School in Savannah, GA.
We start the day with an expo of booths provided by companies, organizations, local schools, and universities for the students and their parents to get them excited about GEID and so they can find out what is available to them locally; should they pursue a STEM career. Your booth can include handouts, hands-on demonstrations, etc.; it will be up to you what is preferred to showcase.
The expo will run from 12:30-1:30pm with 9a-12:30p for setup time.
